Ladakh standoff: Chinese PLA attempts provocative military movements again along LAC, Indian Army ne
Amid the ongoing military-level talks to cool off border tensions between Indian Army and Chinese PLA, the later reportedly violated the previous consensus arrived between the two sides and carried out provocative military movements to change the status quo on the night of 29/30 August, as per official sources.
Brigade Commander level flag meeting is in progress at Chushul sector along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) at the time of this news being written to.
The Army Spokesperson Colonel Aman Anand informed that Chinese Army "carried out provocative military movements to change the status quo."
"Indian troops pre-empted this PLA activity on Southern Bank of PangongTso Lake, undertook measures to strengthen their positions and thwart Chinese intentions to unilaterally change facts on ground," he said.
"The Indian Army is committed to maintaining peace and tranquility through dialogue, but is also equally determined to protect its territorial integrity. A Brigade Commander level Flag Meeting is in progress at Chushul to resolve the issues," Col Anand further said.
