Indian navy ships visit Hai Phong Port, Vietnam
The Indian Naval Ships Satpura and Kadmatt arrived at Hai Phong Port in northern Vietnam Saturday, September 23, as part of activities marking the 45th anniversary of Vietnam-India diplomatic ties and their 10 years of strategic partnership. The five day visit to Hai Phong Port is part of a more than three month deployment that finds the two major Indian Naval Ships making 12 port calls in Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Philippines, the Republic of Korea, Japan, Brunei and Russia. During this deployment, the ships will participate in the International Fleet Review hosted by the Association of South East Asian Countries (ASEAN) in Thailand. They will visit Vietnam, Singapore, Philippines, Cambodia and Brunei to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the India-ASEAN dialogue. The Indian Navy routinely undertakes deployment of ships to friendly nations.
