INS Aridaman to be launched soon.
Adding to its teeth, the Indian Navy is set to launch the second indigenously designed and developed INS Aridaman within four to eight weeks.
The second vessel of the Arihant-class submarine, INS Aridaman is a bigger, better and well armed than its predecessor with ability to carry 8 K-4 SLBM with a range of 3,500km+ and 24 K-15 SLBMs with a maximum range of 1,900 km and sport a powerful nuclear reactor.
The launch and subsequent induction would reflect the potency of the indigenous critical technologies.
The exact details of the project is a heavily guarded secret, with no official allowed to speak for it. The project is directly monitored by the National Security Advisor (NSA).
